here comes trouble

olivia has been so busy lately! she finds trouble every day. she is always trying something out. she has been so good with potty training. the day we started, she didn't have any accidents and has been keeping that up since. she was just ready for the switch. another big change for her is not having her "nana" - she loves it so much. we accidentally went to grandma & grandpa's in wpg without it and and stayed their for three nights without it. she was amazing. but she knew the "nana's" were at home, so we weren't sure how this would work when we finally went home. luckily i found all the nana's in the house before she did and she has had some hard times at home, but has been amazing. she is asking to "buy more nana's?" every day. here is one our last pictures with her best friend "nana". what a goof! last night i went out with the girls and this is what happened: that's my hair product all over her.....she was sitting in the bathroom closet applying it everywhere! needless to say her hair was very smooth after her bath! two nights earlier we caught her in bed painting her toenails with polish while we thought she was sound asleep!! what a little monkey!

the last weekend in march we had a mini vacation with the family. it was all about swimming and the waterslide for the girls at the ramada in fargo.

easter bunny

no pictures...just stories! the easter bunny showed up. last night, amber left him a cookie and a picture she colored just for him...she didn't think it was fair that santa got cookies and not the easter bunny! what a sweetheart! amber was thrilled to find the trail of easter eggs but olivia was not impressed with these eggs on the floor. "NOT ON FLOOR!" she cried....oh boy... it think it is too early for the egg hunt. then we realized that olivia had a fever and that explains the odd behaviour...a bit...she is a little bit funny when it comes to having things in certain places...like her blankets! for anyone that knows her well enough, we know the blankets have to be just so! and sometimes a scrap of quilting fabric from either grandma will also be considered one of her special "blankies". anyway, amber found all the eggs for both of them because olivia wanted nothing to do with it. she didn't even want to see what the present was in the bottom of her easter basket. ...she must be sick!

what fun! after all the "serious" curling was done the girls got to play too! turns out amber has some good strength; she could get it past the hog line! as soon as livie stepped on the ice it was all about sweeping; she was an excellent sweeper! my little curlers

we have more little bundles to love! we gained two nieces this time. isabella and odessa arrived on february 29!! leap year babies! and we have no pictures to show because they are still in ICU, but they are doing great! our little bundles weighed in at 2 lbs 11 oz and 3 lbs 1 oz....what tiny little girls! we can't wait to meet them!! with lots of prayers we hope they can come home soon!!

here is our little baby dylan a couple weeks old. olivia and amber love him to pieces. olivia especially is mesmerized by him...she won't let him out of her sight. what a sweetie!

HSM on ice

amber wasn't feeling too great when we got to HSM but once it got started she forgot all about that and had a blast! if you know the movie, the pictures are self-explanatory:

i'm behind again! what is going on? we have had lots of news since our last post....so here goes!

independent olivia

why does olivia feel the need to climb up everything? amber never climbed. olivia has been caught on the counter top way too many times! she doesn't ask for juice. she just goes and gets it herself! she has become quite the pro. out of curiosity, i watched her do it. she pushes a chair up to the counter; climbs up on the counter and picks out a sippy cup with a matching lid; she climbs back down off the counter and gets the juice out of the fridge; then she has to get back on the chair to pour it in her cup and puts the lid on plus she closes the juice and puts it back in the fridge....leaving no evidence behind. yesterday i caught her standing on top of the garbage can in order to reach a ring pop that had been placed on the top of the microwave. i had a minor heart attack, but she was successful! what an independent little girl... a little too independent if you ask me!

i believe that makes me the winner of the baby pool!! woo-hoo! winner receives nothing, but i did manage to get a burp (a big burp might i add) from baby dylan when no one else could!

yet another birthday cake!! who is so lucky to have three birthday cakes? this one was specially made by grandma and if you look closely you can see that amber placed the candles in interesting places on poor cinderella!

been awhile

it has been a busy month. i'm very far behind with posts considering amber had two birthday parties and we have a newborn nephew to show off!! here are all the updates.

Amber's Big Party

amber's very first friend birthday party. we let her invite as many girls as she wanted since she didn't know very many kids in her class. she had a blast....a little chaotic at times...but lots of fun! they had snacks, played barbies & games, and made bracelets. bronwyn and amber came up with a plan to have a sleepover after everyone else left the party, and lucky for them - both mom's said yes! (another first for amber - so much excitement) i think those two realized how much they miss seeing eachother everyday!
