Storm Chaser Amber

Amber had an eventful weekend!!!! She went to Clear Lake with her Auntie Erin and Uncle Mike. On the way, this is what they ran into!! Auntie Erin took some amazing pictures!! I think Amber is officially over her fear of wind. They were within 200 yards of this enormous tornado...and in one of the pictures you can see a grain elevator to compare it to....the elevator looks tiny. In the end they decided to try and beat the tornado in their car...they drove 180 km/hr and barely got away....Uncle Mike says he could feel the car being tugged by the wind while making their escape. (PHEW!) At one point they saw a semi trailer driving on the other side of the highway and in the blink of an eye it was picked up and thrown into the ditch. Listening to Amber tell this story makes you think it was no big deal, little does she know...
