more trouble

the latest troubling news....olivia has now figured out that she too can climb to the top bunk where amber sleeps. (i'm surprised it took this long!) and she also figured out that mommy and daddy don't really seem too happy when she jumps around on the top bunk....(i always said liv will be the one to turn my hair gray!) have you ever heard of those stories where parents accidentally lock their child in the car? i always wondered what kind of parents would do such a silly thing. well just so you all can stop wondering...it's us! john & dayle are those type of parents! last night after work we drove over to my mom and dad's. we all got out of the car and when i went to open liv's car door.....it was locked! i try my door...it was locked! john seeing the panicked look on my face tries the doors on the other side...both locked!!! oh no....poor liv....she's still in the car! it just so happens that the day before my little wriggle worm figured out a way to wriggle her way out of her seat belt and so i had just tightened it - securing her in her seat so she could not wriggle out of it! darn! i know it's safe now, but at this moment we really needed her to be able to free herself from the ever-so-tight car seat, since i had just realized that the one set of keys was in the ignition and the other (spare) set that you need in situations like this was in my jacket pocket which I had just happened to take off and leave in the car! now what? liv thought we were joking with her when we asked her to try and reach the lock or try to push her seat belt off....not a chance...she was secure! our last resort was to call someone to get this car open. thank goodness for wes! he came so quickly and after realizing that this car was also quite secure he did manage to open it for us...YAY liv is free!
