miracles can happen

olivia finally figured out that she can do swimming lessons without her big sister. it feels like a small miracle! it took her two days with her big sister to figure it out, but on wednesday something clicked and she had a blast. she has been doing great ever since...she actually listened to the teacher on friday and showed her some skills. wow!

amber's class had a spring program at school and we got to see the habitat's they made. amber made the polar bear's habitat and she was quite proud of it.

shortly after returning from florida, amber had her skating program...she did really well! she did not care for her costume though.

this is what happens when baby 'd' comes to play....the girls dress him up in princess costumes! poor dylan, but he didn't seem to mind!

our last day at the beach :(

our last afternoon was of course, at the beach!
it was high tide, so we went searching for seashells.
high tide scared olivia a lot! so the stroller came too...
the walk along the boardwalk was filled with sea turtles and their nests

to end our posts of our vacation is a video of our first day at the beach

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

On our last day we took the morning to go see the Manatee Rescue and Alligator Alley. There were two manatee's when we arrived at the Manatee Observation Deck. And we also got to see a draw bridge in action while we were there.

Alligator Alley! The swamp is right outside the car and I was a little uncomfortable when I realized that the child lock was not on in the back seat of our rental car. I'm not a big fan of alligators, but it was neat to see them up close from the safety of our car. My only question is, who will change the tire when it's flat in Alligator Alley? DISCOVERY

after sea world we RACED back to grandma and grandpa's house so that we wouldn't miss the space shuttle launch. we made it just in time. we saw space shuttle discovery take off into the sky from the pier. it was beautiful. an amazing experience, especially for the kids. i video taped it, but won't have the video available until a later time. in the pix we are waiting for it to start...amber saw it right away, it was a beautiful glow.
